Spotify for Artists is a free analytics and management tool provided by Spotify. It allows artists and their teams to customize their artist profile (photos, bio), view listener data, and pitch unreleased music to Spotify editorial playlists.
Spotify for Artists Explained
This dashboard is the command center for any artist on Spotify. Once verified (claiming your profile gives you the blue checkmark), you can update your "Artist Pick," promote merchandise and tour dates, and access detailed demographics about who is listening to your music and where.
Crucially, it is the ONLY way to officially submit music to Spotify's editorial team for playlist consideration.
Why It Matters
Without access to Spotify for Artists, you have no control over how you appear on the world's largest streaming service. You also miss out on the pitching tool, which is your best shot at free editorial promotion.

You can use the dashboard to see that you have a sudden spike in listeners in Sao Paulo, prompting you to run an ad campaign targeting Brazil. You can also upload a Canvas (looping video) to engage mobile listeners.
How to Get Access
Go to artists.spotify.com and click "Claim Your Profile." You will need to verify your identity, usually by logging in through your distributor or an official social media account.
